ELWarren (SPOON) Weatherspoon has served as a professional drummer, songwriter and musical director for more than 30 years. Spoon grew up in the music industry in Chicago under the influence of his father, Fletcher Weatherspoon Jr; founder and first manager of the legendary Doo Whop Group the Flamingos, known for the classic hit, I Only Have Eyes for You. He began his career at the age of 10 studying at the Chicago Conservatory of Music and was introduced by his father to the music business at a young age, working with such artists as the Chi-lites, Tyrone Davis, Otis Clay and veteran rhythm and blues musicians. His first recording experience occurred at Staple Studios, in Chicago owned and operated by the famous Staple Singers.

Spoon has toured the world frequently in Europe, Asia and extensively in the United States. He is known for his accomplishments previously with Hall & Oates, LTD, Santana, Tracy Chapman, and countless others; to include, East Coast blues recording artists Memphis Gold and the late Bobby Parker. A member for many years and still with the distinguished legendary 70’s R&B Group HEATWAVE best known for the hits: Always and Forever, Boogie Nights, Groove Line and Mind Blowing Decisions.
